Snapshot of the role:

Undergo a comprehensive training in various departments in the farm or mill to prepare for a management position.

You are driven to:

  • Assist in reviewing, preparing, updating, and maintaining policies and procedures, records, and reports.
  • Assist in the production schedule to ensure all schedules are being met, and if necessary, propose adjustments in schedule and personnel to balance and expedite work.
  • Assist in audit preparation and update relevant documents before and after audit.
  • Supervise, direct, organise, and engage in daily production activities and take corrective action when necessary to improve overall performance.
  • Carry out workflow and time studies, anticipate production problems and implement initiatives and plans to maximize material and manpower resource utilization to meet production schedules and enhance the efficiencies in the production line for cost control and reduction of variance, cycle, and wastage.
  • Work closely with all departments and exchange timely information to achieve continuous improvement, reduce cost, and meet required quality and standards.
  • Assist in manpower planning to meet production schedules and optimise resources.
  • Direct, manage, develop, train and motivate employee to carry out their roles and responsibilities so as to administer through attendance and performance to meet production and quality objectives.
  • Promote clean and safe work, and participate in training and safety programs to enhance the overall effectiveness of the work areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Executive with expertise in bakery production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing manpower-related issues, planning production schedules, controlling production progress, and establishing production processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and high-quality bakery operations.

You are driven to:

  1. Manpower Management:
    • Supervise and manage production staff, including bakers, assistants, and support staff.Address and resolve manpower-related issues, including shift scheduling, performance management, and training needs.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  2. Production Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.
    • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and ingredients.
    • Monitor production timelines and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and minimize downtime.
  3. Production Control:
    • Oversee the entire bakery production process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
    • Implement and maintain production tracking systems to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to maintain continuous workflow.
  4. Process and SOP Development:
    • Establish and document production processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
    • Conduct regular reviews and updates of SOPs to reflect changes in production techniques or technology.
    • Train production staff on new and existing processes and SOPs to ensure compliance.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all products meet established standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products.
    • Address any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  6. Health and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the production area.
    • Conduct regular safety training and drills for production staff.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

    • Proven experience in a senior production role within a bakery or food production environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of bakery production techniques, equipment, and ingredients.

    • Familiarity with quality control and health and safety standards in food production.

  2. Education:

  3. Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bakery production, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
