Fraud Alert: Individual Falsely Claiming to Represent QL Resources Berhad for Equipment Procurement
It has come to our attention that an individual identifying herself as “Xin Yi Lee” has been approaching suppliers and business parties in China, falsely claiming to represent QL Resources Berhad (“QL”) in the capacity of a Purchasing Manager or authorised procurement representative for the purpose of purchasing equipment.
We wish to categorically state that Xin Yi Lee is not an employee, representative, agent, consultant, or authorised personnel of QL Resources Berhad or any of its affiliated companies. Any representations, communications, business cards, purchase requests, purchase orders, payment instructions, or commitments purportedly made on behalf of QL by this individual are unauthorised and should not be relied upon.
We take such incidents seriously and urge our suppliers, business partners and members of the public to remain vigilant.
If you receive any communication, purchase request or procurement-related instruction purportedly issued by “Xin Yi Lee” on behalf of QL Resources Berhad or any of its subsidiaries, we strongly advise you to:
- Refrain from acting on any purchase request, quotation request, purchase order, payment instruction or other business communication issued by the individual.
- Do not manufacture, supply or deliver any goods, equipment or services based solely on the individual’s representations.

This matter has been escalated by one of our suppliers to our management for further investigation and appropriate action.
