Position Title: Assistant Manager, Finance
Snapshot of the role:
The Finance Assistant Manager is to support the Senior Finance Manager in overseeing the financial management of the ILF Division by ensuring accurate and timely and accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting and forecasting, supporting budgeting and board paper processes and efficient finance operations across all ILF entities, while assist in driving process improvements and ERP implementation readiness.
This role will also provide functional guidance to site-level finance staff, review and consolidate financial submissions across ILF entities and ensure standardization of finance processes and reporting.
You are driven to:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts for ILF entities within stipulated timelines
- Perform detailed variance analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and provide clear, actionable commentary
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data submitted by site accountants
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Board Support
- Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises
- Develop and standardize budget templates and reporting formats
- Consolidate inputs from operational teams and ensure alignment with business assumptions
- Prepare Board papers, financial presentations, and supporting analysis
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis (e.g. volume, price, and cost drivers)
- Finance Operations & Governance
- Provide guidance on reporting timelines, templates, and compliance requirements to site finance teams
- Review financial submissions prior to escalation to Senior Finance Manager
- Support internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance with company policies
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of finance processes across ILF operations
- ERP Implementation & Process Improvement
- Support M3 ERP implementation, including data migration, UAT, and process validation
- Assist in master data setup and ensure data integrity
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Drive initiatives to reduce reporting cycle time and improve data reliability
- Fair Value of Biological Assets & Costing
- Coordinate with operations to ensure accuracy of biological data (e.g. population, growth, mortality rates)
- Support fair value calculations and layer costing processes
- Prepare analysis and presentation materials for management review
- Stakeholder Support & Ad-Hoc Analysis
- • Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and performance tracking
- Support ad-hoc projects, reporting requirements, and management requests
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or professional equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial finance experience, preferably with audit exposure
- Experience in regional environments and/or public listed companies is an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, reporting, and planning capabilities
- Resourceful in information gathering with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Results-driven, with strong business acumen and customer focus
