Position Title: Chargeman
Snapshot of the role:
To support and enhance the organization’s digital operations by maintaining IT systems, automating processes, and ensuring the reliability of infrastructure, databases, and enterprise applications.You are driven to:
- Electrical Maintenance & Operations
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot low and/or high-voltage electrical systems (depending on license level – AO or BO).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on switchboards, distribution panels, and factory power systems.
- Ensure minimal disruption to production by promptly attending to electrical faults.
- Equipment Reliability
- Inspect and maintain electrical equipment, motors, control panels, lighting, etc., across the facility.
- Support installation and commissioning of new electrical systems or machinery.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Electricity Supply Act, Energy Commission regulations, and internal safety procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for logbooks, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
- Assist in energy management and electrical safety audits.
- Factory Operations Support
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure electrical readiness for production activities.
- Support utilities maintenance such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, etc., where applicable.
- Regulatory & Certification Duties
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations.
- Liaise with external contractors and utility providers when required.
- Attend required training and renew certification/licenses as per regulatory requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Possess valid Chargeman Certificate (AO/BO) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; experience in food industry is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety protocols
- Able to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot independently
- Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, HALAL requirements related to electrical equipment and facility
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, or on-call when required.
