Position Title: Software Developer Lead
Snapshot of the role:
Group IT is driving digital transformation for the entire group by initiating new technology and application solutions to assist businesses in process transformation. As part of the Application Development and Support Team the dedicated full-stack Software Developer Lead (Assistant Manager level) is responsible to provide an all-in-one solution to all aspects of software development to support QL Group business.You are driven to:
- Work using both front-end and back-end languages in developing, and enhancing new or existing customisations and integrations as requested by the business, and supporting in-house developed application problems, design and implement resolutions.
- Creates and designs front end web architecture
- Recommends and executes improvements on the responsiveness of applications
- Oversees and drives projects forward by collaborating with teams to develop and deliver applications and components in all functional areas, and liaising with internal stakeholders to understand the technical requirements and scope out modifications and custom development
- Coaches and mentors other developers.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferably at least 5 years of related working experience in software development with deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (like C#, Java and Python) and JavaScript frameworks (like Angular, React, and Vue).
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (like HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
- Familiar with databases like MSSQL and MongoDB, web servers and UI/UX design.
- Experience with testing and debugging.
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
- Analytical and good at time management and able to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Good stakeholder management skills with great communication and problem-solving skills.
- Candidate must be willing to be based at HQ, Shah Alam
