Position Title: Bodyguard cum Driver

Snapshot of the role:

Act as an unarmed personal bodyguard to the Director’s (and/or any other person as instructed by the Director). Having the Director’s best safety interest in sight and providing the appropriate amount of protection needed. Perform driving service to Executive Director (and/or any other person as instructed by the Director) and maintain assigned vehicle(s) in good condition to ensure safe, timely transportation, and compliance with traffic rules and regulation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, manages and reports on daily duties and routines to protect the Director (and/or any other person as instructed by the Director) from high threat risks such as theft, assault, kidnapping, homicide, harassment, loss of confidential information, threats or other criminal offenses. 
  2. Designs safe routes of travel and alternative back-up routes.
  3. Scouts locations carefully, anticipate potentially hostile situations and reacts quickly to emergency situations to protect Director.
  4. Present at all places punctually as may be stipulated or directed by the Director all time during working hours, and on stand-by time slot as designated by on-call schedule.
  5. Perform simple maintenance work on the assigned vehicles and reporting damage to ensure the vehicle is clean, free from damage and in road worthy condition. 
  6. Performs all duties assigned honestly, diligently and professionally, as well as keeping passenger’s information strictly confidential at all time to maintain passenger confidence
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/O”Level, any field.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in related field. Previous experience in police/army/security forces is an added advantage.
  • Hold a valid “Class D” driving license and clean traffic record 
  • Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and simple English
  • Medically and physically fit with no criminal record
  • Knowledge of self-defenses techniques/martial arts/protective training from physical harm. Certifications will be added advantage.
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act quickly in emergency situations and discretion in sensitive environments.
  • Non-smoker
  • Candidate should be willing to be based in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.
  • Work days Mon – Fri, Sat must work paid OT, Sun on standby paid OT. Average OT hours per month = >50 hours. Candidate should be willing to work beyond official hours with overtime pay and travel to outstations when necessary.
